HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
Interested in submitting work for The Field Between?
We’d love to have you! Here are the deets:
What we’re looking for
We want the kind of stories, photos and videos that show different, uncommon perspectives. Stories change depending on who tells them, which is what we're working to reflect. We don’t aim to change people’s minds, necessarily, but to open them. The Field Between serves the purpose of offering insight into our community and the great work others in the community are doing.
Send us your cultural critiques, your breathtaking photographs, your moving poetry, your take on a recent event, or some combination of these things. The editors will review your submission to determine if it’s right for The Field Between and work with you if tweaks are necessary.
Word count
If you’re sending us a pitch before you dive into a piece, it can be a sentence or a paragraph — however long you think is necessary to convey your idea. You are also welcome to send us a full draft to be considered. We’re flexible, but 600 – 1,100 words is the sweet spot.
